The Jahrbuch der Werbung - the Yearbook of Advertising - gave out its annual Silver Megaphone awards on Feb. 2 at an awards ceremony in Berlin. The agencies winning the awards, which recognize the best in advertising each year, are featured in the yearbook with their campaigns. The yearbook is published by Econ, an imprint of Ullstein Buchverlage.
Nearly 300 guests watched as the Hamburg-based Kolle Rebbe agency took first place in the contest. In second place came Berlin-based Heimat, the agency that came in first last year. Other winners were Scholz & Friends, Kempertrautmann and BrawandRieken, which won teh Newcomer Agency for 2011 award.
The Yearbook has been published since 1964, focusing on the best in advertising in the German-speaking world - Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The 49th edition will be out in March, in a new format and with a completely revised layout.
