Avalanche of Awards

In Finland, MTV3 was a big winner in this year's Kultainen Venla - Golden Venla - awards, the Finnish equivalent to the Emmys. Recognizing domestic production and talent, the Golden Venlas are voted on by members of the Finnish TV Academy - professionals working in the industry.

A total of nine awards were won, including: Best Drama - Klikkaa mua; Best Game Show - Biisikärpänen (The Singing Bee); Best Comedy Show - Putous; Best Entertainment & Music program - Tanssii tähtien kanssa  (Strictly Come Dancing); Best actor - Martti Suosalo: Tappajan näköinen mies; Best scriptwriter - Johanna Vuoksenmaa:  Klikkaa mua; Audience favorite, Best TV program - Klikkaa mua; Audience favorite, best performer - Minttu Mustakallio: Klikkaa mua; and the "Vuoden valopilkku" (The Bright Spot of the Year) awarded by TV-Maailma - in the category magazine -  Klikkaa mua.
